WHAT I DO

I provide complete and flexible design services for residential and some commercial projects. Bathrooms, kitchens, whole house remodels and new home design projects are all welcome. Restaurant and retail spaces are also a welcome challenge. Designing (and sometimes building) custom furnishings, cabinetry and built-ins are another core part of what I do. I am happy to provide anything from concept development, consulting, rendered images for marketing to full architectural drawing sets for construction. How to get the most of what you want for what you can afford is your goal and my mission is to help make that happen to the greatest degree possible.

HOW I WORK

My approach to design could be described as experience oriented. What a space feels like to live in, how it functions day to day and how you continue to feel about it over the long run is what matters. It’s always easy to make an impression in the short term but getting things right so you will continue to enjoy it over many years is the real trick. While it can take a lot of time, energy and discipline to do it right this process should be fun and energizing for all parties involved. Collaboration is key, if it feels like a battle then something is wrong. I have found that this is not a one size fits all endeavor. Different situations and different personalities require different processes for it all to work well. I am usually flexible enough to adapt to the needs of a given client and project. You may already know exactly what you want and only need someone to put the parts together for you. Or you may have only a vague idea or a bit of inspiration to start with and need much more creative input to get where you want to end up. Whatever the particulars there is always a pathway to get you to where you want to go.
